How consent is communicated (affirmative, verbal, nonverbal, contextual, implied, false, unsure).

This session will use information from the SHIFT study at Columbia University and its companion book, Sexual Citizens: A Landmark Study of Sex, Power, and Assault on Campus by Jennifer S. Hirsch and Shamus Khan as a foundation for a larger conversation. You will leave with a better understanding of the many ways humans communicate consent, the importance of sexual projects, and how sex ed can help prevent unintended assaults.
