SOCCS 2025

We meet in affinity groups to feel the  solidarity, soft space and rejuvenation that come from these groups. Affinity groups are open to individuals who identify as members of the group and can speak to the experience of being a member of the group from the "I" perspective. We acknowledge that we all  hold multiple and intersecting identities, and that you may need to make a choice to focus on one of your identities during this session. We invite you to bring your wholeness into whichever space you choose for this conversation.

The word “no” in verbal and non-verbal forms can elicit a visceral response in those who hear it, and in those who say it. Join us for an interactive discussion about the ways “no” can be communicated and received in all relationships and areas of our lives.

The presenter will share her personal story as a secondary survivor and facilitate an interactive discussion about tools, definitions, & warning signs to increase awareness for parents and educators. As the mother of a survivor, the presenter will discuss her experiences from learning about consent to fighting for her daughter's physical, mental, emotional health to learning about Title IX and what the school personnel could have done to her own graduate program in forensic psychology.

This workshop teaches sexual anatomy in an interactive, inclusive, and body-positive way! Participants will use playdoh to sculpt a variety of body parts and explore the role of consent and pleasure in sexual exploration.
